Parting Love

A walk on the beach's sand We walk hand in hand. We watch the time fly by, Dreading the time to say goodbye.

The sun on your face, An Angel in my eyes. Your lips I shall embrace Because True Love never dies.

With all my heart I do love you, Never do I want to leave you, Forever I will miss you, Never will I forget you.

In the rain we did dance Our love was such a sweet romance Like a dream or a trance If only I had another chance.

A tear runs down my cheek, A woman like you I will never again meet. A tear runs down my cheek, Of cruel fate does this moment reek,

For I simply love you too much As our tender lips touch. I love you so! Why do you have to go?

This is my Apocalypse, Or my eternal Eclipse, For the light has faded And darkness in my heart has been instated.

Like the receding steps in a church’s hall. You let me go and let me fall. After this, how am I to stand tall? Am I to wait for the reaper’s call?

I see my end, I am alone Without you to guide me home. I am hollow to the bone, In this Hell of fire and stone.

And then you take my hand, And I am back to our walk on the sand. This can only be Heaven, not Hell, For in this moment, my heart is ringing like a bell.

We say not a word to one another, At this time we need not bother. I simply savour this moment given to me from Above And I kiss for the last time my Parting Love.
